Geneva M. Wilson, PhD, MPH
Dr. Wilson is a junior investigator and Research Health Scientist with CINCCH. She earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign. She completed a master’s in public health from Saint Louis University and a doctorate in epidemiology from the University of Iowa in 2019.
Her research background includes investigating the microbiome of Clostridioides difficile infected (CDI) patients examing changes that predict infection. She has also conducted studies on environmental contamination in the healthcare setting. Her current projects include examining risk factors for Carbapenem-producing Carbapenem resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CP-CRE) through the QUERI program “Combating Antimicrobial Resistance through Rapid Implementation of Available Guidelines and Evidence (CARRIAGE)”, examining effectiveness of treatment for CP-CRE in an HSR merit review grant, and evaluating community onset CDI in the Veteran population.
