Saul Weiner, MD

Saul J. Weiner, MD is a Senior Investigator at CMC3, based at Jesse Brown VAMC. He is Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics, Program Director of the Medicine-Pediatrics Residency and Head of the Division of General Pediatrics at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dr. Weiner’s research, which has been supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, NIH, and NSF as well as the Veterans Administration focuses on issues of access to care, the impact of culture and ethnicity on self-report of health indicators, and on medical decision making and the physician-patient relationship. He is principal investigator of a VA funded study entitled "Identifying and Predicting Contextual Errors in Medical Decision Making."

Dr. Weiner, a board certified internist and pediatrician, graduated from Harvard College, Dartmouth Medical School, and the combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Chicago.
