Overview
The mission of CMC3 is to conduct high quality research that will translate into improved patient and health outcomes for veterans and the nation. The overall focus of CMC3 revolves around improving Management of Complex Chronic Care. In particular, we are interested in
• pharmacotherapeutics
• value in health care
• behavioral health
Established as an HSR&D Center of Excellence in 1983, CMC3 (formerly known as the Midwest Center for Health Services & Policy Research) is located on the Hines VA Hospital Campus, close to Chicago and easily accessible to it's affiliate universities, Northwestern University, University of Illinois at Chicago and Loyola University of Chicago. CMC3 has investigators housed at both Jesse Brown VAMC and Lakeside CBOC to provide a Chicago-wide presence.
Co-located at CMC3 are the VA Information Resource Center (VIReC) and the Quality Enhancement Research Initiative for Spinal Cord Injury (SCI QUERI).
Career opportunities include the Postdoctoral Fellowships for PhDs and PhD Nurses and the Physician Post Resident Fellowship.
